Wind-guard ceramic ashtray

This ceramic ashtray was designed for the hotel Villa Odescalchi in Alzate Brianza (MI) in 1989. It is made of enamelled ceramics, finished entirely in white with the logotype and name of the hotel who commissioned the design.

Its shape make it a wind-guard ashtray: it prevents the wind from blowing on the ashes and spreading them around. Two indents placed symmetrically on the rim serve to rest a burning cigarette.

Wind-guard multi-purpose ceramic ashtray. It can be a candle holder and can also be used as a flower bowl. Designed by Architetto Marcello Cuneo

This ashtray is also a multi-purpose object. It can be a candle holder, thanks to a hollow in its centre, and can also be used as a flower bowl, thanks to the circular area between the candle holder and the edge of the tray that can accommodate flowers and water, depending on the situation.
